Why:             Because it Makes Us Happy!

Help! We are looking at our calendar and need to fill it up! We are looking for food & wine events in 2016 to attend. Really, anything food and drink related works! Sushi and sake, beer and brats, chocolate and wine… Get the idea? Have food, we’ll travel!

I know we can research this topic all day. And yes, we too can find all the really big events, like Epcot, Miami, Austin and Aspen. But what we really love are recommendations to newer and smaller events that aren’t as widely known about. For example, our trip to Dubuque! It was only their third annual event. And recently, I came across one on Instagram, taking place in Wilmington, NC – the Wilmington Food & Wine Festival! That one sounds very interesting, but we have to find a way to make all the logistics fall into place…

So if you think there’s a hidden gem we’d be excited to go to, cover and help promote – we want to know! Of course, we plan to eventually cover the larger events; many are on my bucket list, especially the Barbados Food, Wine & Rum Event (and I can’t wait to take Jay back to Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Burbon & Beer in New Orleans).
